Spent the past few days up on the Cumberland fishing. The water definately looked better from the last trip I had up there. The COE has got the lake down around the 682 ft mark, so the heavy generation is gone for now. The fishing was ok, no really big fish. Caught one brown around the 16″ mark. Caught a few brook trout which was cool. Had a blast up by the dam catching stripers on the 6wt. The stripers were on fire late in the evening up there. Had a fish on every other cast. Biggest striper was around 8-9 lbs. , most of the stripers were small around a 1lb or so. Hopefully the lake level will stay down so we can enjoy some fall fishing here in a couple of months.
