Davie Crawford – Owner/Guide

Davie was fortunate enough to grow up in a fishing family in Northwest Georgia, fishing everything from largemouth bass and crappie on Lake Weiss to stripers on the Coosa River and its tributaries. It was fishing trips to the Cohutta Wilderness Area at an early age where Davie found his true passion for fly fishing. Davie moved to Kennesaw, Georgia in 2000 to attend Kennesaw State University and discovered he had a great tailwater fishery in his backyard, the Chattahoochee River. After graduating in 2004, Davie began spending all his time fishing and learning the Chattahoochee River. After completing his masters degree in 2009 and obtaining a Chattahoochee NPS permit, Davie established Deep South Fly Anglers. Over the years, Davie has fished waters from Montana to Mexico and everywhere in between, but feels most at home when he is floating down the Chattahoochee River putting his clients on fish. Davie has incredible patience teaching fly fishing and gets more excited when his clients catch a nice fish than he does when he is the one fishing. When not guiding on the Hooch, you will find Davie tying flies or floating a river somewhere with his wife Heather and their dog Gypsy.

Garner Reid – Guide

Garner grew up in Northwest Georgia chasing all critters big and small. If he is not on the water with a rod, you can bet he has a shotgun or a bow in his hands. After venturing out West and exploring the waters of Western Montana he wandered his way back home to chase river stripers, trout on the Hooch and brookies in the Appalachians, as well as other fresh and saltwater species. Garner is also the head guide for Cohutta Fishing Company located in Cartersville, Ga.

Ryan Lee – Guide

Ryan spent his childhood living in Alabama on the banks of the Coosa River system learning the craft of fishing for warm water species with a glass fly rod.  After relocating to Georgia to pursue a college degree, his passion for fly-fishing continued to grow and he spent most of his time fishing throughout the Southeast for warm and cold-water fish.  Exploring Georgia further, Ryan moved to coastal Georgia for five years to fish the salt waters from South Georgia all the way to the Florida Keys.  Even though the coastal fishing was amazing, his home waters called to him and he moved back home to North Georgia for the variety of fish that it offered.  Ryan is an avid fly-tyer and has a passion for pursuing large striper and brown trout on the fly.  He is a middle school science teacher by trade and enjoys guiding on weekends and summer months throughout the year.
